JESSICA DOYLE A FULL TRACK CERTIFICATION AS A LEAN FACILITATOR

GRANTSVILLE, Maryland, USA, June 15, 2009 – Total Biz Fulfillment is pleased to announce, Jessica Doyle, a valued member of the Total Biz Fulfillment team, has earned and been awarded Maryland World Class Consortia’s Lean Facilitator full track certification.  This certification required attendance at nine multi-day lean training modules and completion of a Capstone Project demonstrating her full comprehension of the hands-on learned course skills in an actual environment.  Upon completion of the project in April, Jessica also had to orally present her project and pass a robust oral examination by a panel of lean experts.  “The program has taught me to set my focus on the elimination of waste in all processes,” stated Jessica. “Those functions that are non value-added should be eliminated whenever possible.  The program is all about “learning to see”.”

Jessica’s Capstone project undertaken during the certification process for earning her Lean Facilitator Certification involved both receiving and batch picking processes at Total Biz Fulfillment.  As a result of the efforts of the team, inbound goods being received prior to 2:00 PM are aggressively shipped that same day and significant batch picking improvements were also crafted, implemented, and are being sustained. 

Total Biz Fulfillment pursues lean principles to improve the value proposition of Total Biz Fulfillment’s business services AND to eliminate all waste.  In today’s challenging economic sea, merchants and manufacturers want companies to deliver products that not only sell but are delivered in a cost effective manner.  Accuracy plays an important role as merchants are ordering smaller orders but ordering more often.  The merchants carry less inventory on their shelves which needs immediate refill rates.  Utilizing lean principals and having Jessica facilitate additional waste reductions resulted in accurate, on-time, and waste-free shipments averaging a single shipping challenge for every 700 shipments for a shipping accuracy rate of 99.86%.
